Love for Dodo
Dodo's face far too close to the camera

There's a lot of love out there for Dodo Chaplet. Every time I think I've found the last Dodo fan out there, another one pops up! Here are some words Dodo's fans when asked what they thought of her...

"It's a challenge to write for the gear and groovy Miss Chaplet in the nineties, as nowadays people expect the main characters in novels to have personalities."
—Steve Lyons, author of Salvation

"I rarely eat anything else."
—Gary Gillatt, editor of Doctor Who Monthly

"She was kinda bland, her nose was unfortunate, I just think none of the existing stories do anything for character."
Charles Daniels, rec.arts.drwho

"Easily the best companion I've (probably) never seen."
—Ed Stradling, rec.arts.drwho

Now you may wonder what Dodo thinks of people like Daniel O'Mahony (giving her a venereal disease in The Man in the Velvet Mask) and David Bishop (killing her in Who Killed Kennedy). Well, as it just so happens, Dodo has turned to Satan to get her revenge.

Look closely and you can see the candles burning in the background, with images of O'Mahony and Bishop writhing in the flames. Clearly, this will teach future writers a lesson on how to handle the Divine Dodo.
