Yet again, I got a little obsessive and tracked the number of books and movies I’ve consumed in the past year. Why? Well, if nothing else it’s an easy way to remember what I’ve seen when asked, “What was the best book/movie you’ve seen/read this year?” Also, it amuses me. This year showed a slight increase in all categories… And now, on to 2013!

Is that chronological order or ranking based on ratings etc?
Chronological! The graphic novel section alone would be too crazy to try and rank in order. 🙂
Ooh I loved Nocturnes. It was the first book of his that I read.
Nice! Where did you see HOLY MOTORS?
Dave: I’d never read anything of his before Never Let Me Go so now I’m going to try and read one a year. Any suggestions on which next?
Mr. Robson: We’re lucky in that we’ve got two Landmark theatres in the DC area — I think it was the one on E Street that showed it. Kylie Minogue’s song not being on the eligibility list for Best Original Song for this year is highway robbery.
Hmm, I really like ‘The Unconsoled’ but there no middle ground with it, you’ll either love it or loathe in… I don’t know which you’ll end up with!
